Background Information

• ◊ Cuttlefish and Squid and Soft Squid are Cephalopods. Cephalopod translates literally into "head footed" which explains why squid as well as cuttlefish , with their arms and tentacles attached directly to their heads, are so named.
• ◊ Main catching areas : Vung Tau, Kien Giang, Phan Thiet of Vietnam
• ◊ Main season May to November, but are caught all year round
